2016 Fleetwood Rv Bounder Rv Review

Have major issues with 2016 Bounder with my slide out, and slide out canopy. Had the RV longer in the shop than on the road. Stay away from them, just a big expensive Lemmon. Hope to trade in as soon as I can.

Fleetwood AC draining on window issue

We have an issue with the Storm someone might be able to help with or give us guidance. There is a spout (using spout for a lack of a better word) located on each side of the coach over the front side windows. Now the issue… the air conditioner drains out the passenger side drain and directly onto the passenger window and down the side of the coach. When this accrues the drainage causes spotting and etching (like very bad water spots) on the passenger side window under this drain. We called Fleetwood last week and they did not address the drainage issue at all but put us on hold and came back sometime later and said to use vinegar to remove the etching/staining. We used Windex with Vinegar, a strong mix of vinegar and water, CLR, etc., and nothing removes this etching.

I cannot believe that Fleetwood would design the Roof AC to drain directly onto a window and side of the coach but that this must be a design flaw. I am not an engineer but would think the AC would be designed to drain out the bottom of the coach like it does on a car.

What can be done to remedy this issue and get the etching off of the window and side of the coach? All this mess and only a 3 month old coach…

I sent Generals RV’s Service adviser in Dover, FL (where we have been taking the RV and his reply: The gutter spouts are designed to keep the water away from the coach. I wonder why they are not doing that. If vinegar is not working on getting the windows cleaned, I have had to use a razor blade to get the film off. Be very careful, as the window can be scratched. I don’t know the answer to why, maybe the sealant is not full behind the gutter and it is dripping down the sidewall. Yes unfortunately they are designed to drain on the roof. There is no fix to that. I have seen people make dams, and paths using roof sealant, it works ok, but very cosmetically unappealing.

Bottom line is that I just cannot believe that Fleetwood would design the AC to drain so it permanently etches the window and side of the unit. Well this will make me check off Fleetwood (any REV Group products) for the list for our next coach.

Since we are new (3 months now) to this RV joy I am reaching out for any suggestions!!!

I have a 2016 Fleetwood Storm and have the same problem with the water running down both front windows staining them with some kind of film like stain. I have no solutions of how to clean the stains off as I haven't found anything that will work as of yet but I did find a help for the dripping water on the windows.

I went down to Holiday World RV and purchased some RV gutter extenders and installed myself. They are about two and a half inches long and snap connect to your gutter but I also put a drop of super glue and a little caulk just as a precaution for the driving wind and them being blown off.

So far they work really well keeping the water off the front windows and also the back sides of the motor home. Very pleased with them.

Short Review on June&nbs-04:00;27,&nbs-04:00;2016

Love our Fleetwood flair, hate Goshen RV in Indiana who sold it to us. They were awful, it was a cash sale, salesman John was so rude and never said thank you for the sale. Lied to us on so many things, to many to list.

Warranty denial

Brand new Rockwood HW pop up. Was rushed through orientation, told to write down any issues and it would be taken care of.

After first set-up, front bed wouldn't slide in. Reported it same week. They are denying the claim, saying it was my fault. I think something within one week of owning should be covered.

Had several other issues after first camp trip with the unit- those will probably get denied too. Will never buy a fleetwood product again.

I would think that they would want new customers to become loyal repeat customers, but I guess that isn't important to them. Lesson learned.

Who cares about punctuation? He made his point, that's enough.

He's probably angry and just wants to get his message out there. I agree Fleetwood products r cheaply made and customer service stinks.

I agree...just brought 2018 and paid cash and it is garbage. Could only use 1 time.

Just getting it back after 2 months. Customer service very bad.

To anyone that want to post crap. Tell it to your dam mama....

It's hard to take seriously someone who doesn't know how to use punctuation when writing. Your entire review, about a paragraph long, contains no punctuation.

In addition, instead of the word 'waste', you used the word wasn't.

I have a feeling that you're full of ***. Case closed.

Really!!??? Are you kidding you are worried about punctuation!!

You need to be worried about the crap you are putting out there! I have had so many issues with my 2018 Fleetwood storm and you mornthe desler wants to own up to any of it and just fix it! I will never buy Fleetwood again!

I am on the process of getting an attorney now! Already put on a complaint to the BBB as well!

Guest

It always amazes me that people who can't spell or write a correct sentence have hundreds of thousands of dollars to spend on an expensive RV. Credibility of the complaints and complainants is very much an issue.

Fleetwood Rv Rv Review

I bought a Fleetwood Storm 35sk and it came with a Residential Refrigerator. Big mistake! You can only run the refrigerator with the generator running or with Shore power hooked up. I tried to give it back to the dealer, but they wouldn't take it. So now I'm stuck having to run the generator whenever I dry Camp, which is 90% of the time in Alaska.

2015 Fleetwood Discovery Issues

I am so sorry to hear all your issues. I just purchased a 2015 discovery 37R left over. Did you finally get everything repaired?

I am having a few issues too. Gas heat will not go on just air.

Only way it will work is if I am plugged into a 50 amp plug.

Fireplace only glows no blower, window in bathroom hinge is detached from window. Water faucet shower outdoors will not pull out from panel. I am getting very disappointed with the customer service from Fleetwood. Dealer in my area will not service my motorhome because I didn't purchase it through them.

Any advice?

Very discouraged

Scheduled for service on the 6th of October

I sent this list directly to Fleetwood before taking it in for service on Oct. 6th, 2015. I received a call back from a lady in the service dept. She was not much help, saying that it was out of the factory warranty. The extended warranty that I purchased is from another company. I told her that most of the problems were ongoing. I told her about the problems with the noisy leveling jacks and she said that I should have the dealer replace the jack fluid with “Mercon 5” because they have had a problem with this and the fluid change should take care of it. She also told me that she would send me an email with her contact information. I never received the email.

Today 10-16-2015 the dealership called and said it was ready for pick up. When I asked what they did I was told the following:

The circuit board that they previously replaced for the furnace was a bad

board. They changed it again .

The plastic trim that holds the refrigerator front panel has a broken clip,

they swapped the top trim piece with the bottom one. It is not covered

under warranty, so I will be charged.

The broken drawer latch will not be covered under warranty, again

another charge.

They could not get approval from the factory to change out the fluid for

the leveling

Jacks, and if I want it done I will have to pay for it.

Poor service. Poor workmanship.

I bought a coleman fleetwood utah brand new in 2001 had water getting in the front storage trunk from day one. Took it back to the dealer I bought it from numerous times never fixed the leak. The floor eventually rotted out and I had to repair myself. I was also told life time warranty on the roof, developed a crack in the roof, and as always they said can't do nothing about it. VanBoxtel Greenbay Wi. was my dealer. Now I'm looking to get out of the pop up and go to a self contained trailer approx. 22 foot. I will NOT give fleetwood rv's a chance. Unhappy coleman fleetwood owner.

Not a happy camper

I bought this Fleetwood Excursion in May 2015 from the Pomona show I would strongly discourage buying from a show. It's been at the dealer (Giant R V) for over 100 days for different issues too many to mention,,,1- squeaky dash they can't fix,my refrigerator I've complained about it not working gone camping twice with dry ice. Now it's been there close to 40 days waiting for a new fridge. I regret trading in my Hurricane, had it 3 years and not once in the shop. I have no salesmen support I'm on my own trying to get repairs done.

Eighteen days after *** down $122,276 on a brand new 2016 Fleetwood Bounder 35K RV, my wife and I still can’t drive the RV an inch off our parking spot at the Davis Monthan AFB Family Camp. That’s because on December 11, a mere 10 miles from the dealership, the brakes on the new coach failed while driving it on I-10. Now the couple is being told nowhere in the massive Ford Motor Company inventory is a replacement module for the anti-lock brake system needed to make the coach roadworthy again.

Marine toilet

Our new 2015 Bounder has had problems with the Dometic marine toilet since our first outing. First time, wouldn't shut off & move from red back to green, just kept running. Second instance the motor just wouldn't run at all. Today's problem, once again the motor won't stop running. We are on the road so just have to turn it off & hope it will reset itself eventually. Calling for repair to come to my site so I expect the repair will not be inexpensive.

I have had the same problem with the toilet. I have found that the recycling is cause by paper getting caught up in the drain system.

If you add additional water to the bowl prior to flushing it seems to have resolved the problem. Although I do carry a plunger just in case. If you have to use the plunger fill the bowl about half ways before plunging and that will clear it. The smell comes from the vent on the roof.

You need to make sure the roof vent is closed while traveling.

When in motion the passing wind will draw the odor out of the vent to the holding tank and then thru the vent and into the RV. Good luck.

Guest

So, did you find the problem? Ours has cycled 2-3 times an hour since brand new.

Guest

Yes we are having raw sewage drain out bottom. Smelled the coach and camp ground.

We purchased a2014 Discovery Vin CFY3348 and just over 2000 miles the right rear wheel bearing went out causing the wheel to catch fire.We had to sit at a truck stop 2 1/2 days until a repair man had to cut off the spindle and weld on a replacement.after getting home we took the RV to Freightliner and they kept the RV 2 weeks to replace the whole rear assy. Now my wife is afraid to go any where so we may have to get another unit. This is the 2nd. Fleetwood we have had and not sure if to buy another? NEED SOME ADVICE!

Fleetwood RV - Rv Review from Pembroke Pines, Florida

We've had our Fleetwood Excursion for owner two years. We haven't had any problems.

Just one complaint, the dash is squeaky.

My husband has had his CDL license for over 40 years and stops every 4 hours and does a walk around the vehicle. Most problems in this forum could of been avoided by doing this he said.

Sorry, but I can't agree with your husband. rotting floors, foggy windows, rusting components, and on and on would not have been prevented by walking around the coach.

The problems are 1) poor quality during manufacture 2) scant back up of the warranty. How can you prevent bubbles in the sidewalls or a Fridge that must be replaced in the first few months of ownership?

Faulty Flair Motorhome

Our Flair had about a dozen non-trivial problems that the dealer had identified upon receipt from the Fleetwood factory and were not addressed when the unit was delivered to us. I am not sure why Broadmoor RV did not repair the problems prior to selling us the unit. The problems include: no seat belt for the passenger seat, all cabin overhead lights did not work (repaired on the day of delivery), the tank level display panel does not work, the awning light switch is wired backwards ("OFF" turns the lights "ON"), all basement doors are not aligned as they sag at the latch, the bathroom door handle is broken, the bedroom shades do not work, one kitchen drawer bottom is not attached to the drawer front, the drivers chair was damaged by the Broadmoor RV technician as he closed the slide-out with the seat not sufficiently out of the path, also trim moulding damaged by the seat, the drivers seat base is damaged as well, one storage bin door does not latch or lock, the screen door is not aligned as you have to lift up to open the door as it drags on the door pin, and the front end is so badly damaged by rock chips they said they will have to repaint the entire front end, and the bathroom walls are so bowed they move in and out and the dealer said they need to be replaced. There are other problems. The dealer estimates it will take 4 weeks to repair the problems. This is after they had it months prior to my purchase and could have worked on it. Also, this is only an estimate as the factory has not approved the proposed fixes and the parts have not been ordered. This is insane customer service. I have never seen worse. The dealer could not locate my warranty paperwork when I stopped to check on progress after they had it for almost two weeks. I am not happy or satisfied. In addition, there does not seem to be a concern about when I will get my RV back. They could not tell me how confident they are with the proposed completion date. Now I am making payments and I will have access to my motor home for a month. This is as poor as I have ever been treated as a customer.
